Big Bootie Lakefront
Two Friends Live at Huntington Bank Pavilion
The Artists: Two Friends
Matt Halper and Eli Sones, better known as Two Friends, have masterfully claimed a unique corner of the electronic world. From high school friends in LA to global headliners, they’ve built a cult following through their legendary "Big Bootie Mix" series. Their sound is a high-octane blend of dance-pop, nostalgic remixes, and technical mashups that feel like the ultimate summer soundtrack.
Known for their incredible stage presence and "soul-house" energy, a Two Friends show is a high-speed journey through every hit you forgot you loved, re-imagined with mainstage power.
Why This Show Is Legendary
There is no better way to kick off the Chicago summer season than a Two Friends takeover at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. This show is special for three major reasons:
- 01. The Skyline View: As the sun sets over Lake Michigan, the Chicago skyline lights up behind the stage. It is widely considered the most beautiful backdrop in the country for a dance set.
- 02. "The Big Bootie" Production: This tour features a custom visual experience specifically designed for the outdoor pavilion, leaning into the maximalist energy of their mashup style.
- 03. The Hometown Energy: Chicago has always been one of the biggest "Big Bootie" markets. The crowd energy at Northerly Island is always next-level compared to indoor club sets.

Venue Guide: Huntington Bank Pavilion
The Transit Hack
Northerly Island is a "hike." The CTA Red/Green/Orange Lines (Roosevelt Station) are the closest rails, but it's a 15-20 minute walk. Secret: Take the #146 bus or use the dedicated water taxi for a much cooler arrival.
Parking Strategy
On-site parking at Soldier Field is extremely expensive ($50+). Use SpotHero for lots near the South Loop and walk the Museum Campus path. It saves money and bypasses the massive post-show traffic bottleneck.
The Clear Bag Rule
The Pavilion enforces a strict clear bag policy. Don't be the one sent back to the car. Small clutches (4.5" x 6.5") are allowed, but anything larger must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC.
The Sunset Spot
For the best view of both the stage and the sunset/skyline, head to the elevated bleachers or the far left side of the floor. This is the prime photo spot of the night.
